We have a passion for software – and that begins with the design process. At the center of our approach of software design is a user focused approach: which activities will be performed using the application, in what environment and technology platform will the user perform those activities (e.g. laboratory, hospital, mobile, laptop), and how can the application provide the user with an engaging and responsive experience.

We perform software design for both custom development projects as well as Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) implementations. With COTS applications, we perform functional mapping and design activities utilizing techniques such as use case development, business activity maps, and technology architecture design (e.g. web, application, database, and web service layers)

During design activities, we develop a technology architecture and roadmap for the software application which includes hardware and possible additional architecture considerations such as interfaces or web services to other business applications. We also would perform data mapping activities from existing data stores (current manual databases and software applications) to understand how data may or may not be migrated or integrated from a technical architecture perspective.
