Data Migration activities occur during a new software implementation project – either manual data entry or an automated process can be used to transition data from legacy systems (paper and electronic) to the new business software application. We can develop these automated data migration components with our software development services.

We initially perform data mapping activities to understand the required transition activities from the source system to the target application – not only from a data element mapping perspective, but also the business rules for transitioning data from a historical system to a new application.

We then would follow a process of ETL (Extract, Tranform, Load) for utilizing tools (Open Source, or commercial) to help manage and automate the data extraction, and data load processes.
